Balazs told us this story about how he was asking God to grow his church; then the homeless started to show up and the drug addicts and the wife beaters and Balazs said, “Lord, I can’t handle this”.
Then he came across when Jesus quoted Isaiah 61 saying that He came to heal the brokenhearted and to set the captives free and realized,
it’s a compliment and a huge responsibility when the Lord entrusts us with his brokenhearted sons and daughters
But, before you come to this point, you must understand where Balazs and his family are coming from. Not one of them are supposed to be here. Their backstory is like nothing I have ever heard. miracles. healings. adoptions.
this is their story:
After hearing that, and it's a beautiful story, it most certainly pops in your head, "What are you supposed to do with that?" I mean it seems as though God has a purpose for them. A definitely plan. And so, Balazs, Leah, their 4 daughters, and their newly adopted son are simply sowing seeds into the people around them.

(made while on location in Hungary)
While in Hungary, we had the chance to put together this video below; the heart behind it is pretty unique. The Stanzels are supported by Calvary SLO and during the holiday season, Calvary wanted to pour into the work of the missionaries they support. In order for the church in California to grasp the vision of what the Stanzels are doing in Pecs, Halle sent this video over and the church was able to grasp the vision, while we still had our feet on the ground in Hungary.
